Biography

Alexander is a graduate research assistant at Oregon State University’s department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He is working towards his MS and PhD in Artificial Intelligence. He is conducting research under Dr. Lizhong Chen exploring the use of machine learning to optimize hardware allocation in exascale computing systems. Alexander has minors in Physics and Computer Science, and previously worked on undergraduate research in the improvement of hardware design and memory accessibility in high-performance computing systems through the OSGC STARR program. His interests include computational physics, high-performance computing design, and power optimization in computing systems.
